Day 2 of the The Punchestown Festival 2013By The UK Horse Racing Tipster
With another great win by Sprinter Sacre yesterday at the Punchestown Festival it looks like we have another Big Buck's or Kauto Star in the making!
Whilst Sizing Europe was having the whip put to him a few furlongs back Barry Geraghty only had to shake the reigns a few times to put his horse past his old rival and get another win under his belt. He may not have jumped as well as he did at Cheltenham but he did the job even if the odds were pathetic at 1/10 on!
I stopped at the local BetFred to watch the race and a mate turned up and won some money on the dogs. I told him that Sprinter Sacre was going to win the next race with Sizing Europe guaranteed to come second at 6/1, and if he wanted to put some money on to do a forecast or even put an each way bet on Sizing Europe if he couldn't get onto Betfair and put a place bet on at 1.57. However he was semi-pissed and refused to listen and decided to put his money on the 60/1 outsider Noble Prince! That's a gambler for you. He refused to listen and threw away all his winnings from his earlier win in the hope the two favourites would both be beaten or fall over.
Anyway today we have two more great horses running in the 17:30 Bet Online With TheTote.com Punchestown Gold Cup as Long Run and Sir Des Champs facing off again after their last match up in the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase in which Bobs Worth won and Sir Des Champs coming 2nd and Long Run 3rd. I have never thought Long Run was a good jumper and I expect Sir Des Champs to win today as Bobs Worth ran yesterday.
However you should check out some of the betting offers that are available whilst the Punchestown Festival is on. If you haven't seen it I created a new page yesterday under the "Horse Racing Tipster Online" menu called "Latest Bet Offers".
I hope to keep this page updated with the latest bet offers when they are related to the big festivals like Punchestown, Cheltenham or Royal Ascot etc as the bet offers change constantly.
However some bet offers are always available and you should make use of them especially on big race days or events like the Punchestown Festival. You can either use this new page or just look to the right and select one of the many bet offers from the main bookmakers I show. However as I warn on the bet offer page PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS!!
I have lost count of the number of people who don't read the terms and conditions and then scratch their head and complain when they don't get the offer they expected to. It has even happened to me once!
Therefore when signing up to these sites be warned of tricky little sentences that you can easily skip over that might void you getting your bet or refund offer.
Some common ones to watch out for are:
- You are only refunded the cost of a bet up to a certain amount (e.g £25 or £50) if you bet that amount on one bet and lose it. If you win you don't get anything.
- You are not allowed to withdraw your winnings from any bet offer but must keep them in the account to bet with. Only after betting X amount can you withdraw money.
- You cannot bet on odds-on favourites or horses under a certain price.
- You must bet the full £25 or £50 in one single bet to get the offer. Betting lots of small bets won't get you anything.
- You must bet the full amount within a certain number of days to be able to claim the offer.
So PLEASE make sure you read the terms and conditions so you don't lose out on any betting offers. You will be gutted if you sign up and then lose the offer because you didn't read the small print!
However as long as you are careful and follow this advice there is no reason that you shouldn't try to make use of as many of these online bookmaker offers as possible.
In fact I have a whole system based around using online bookmakers free bet offers and my list of top horses (available to members only) which WILL make you money.
Good times to look for bet offers are when you want a free bet and have no money e.g SkyBet give you a free £10 bet to start off with - perfect for those of you who are skint!
On big racing occasions such as the big handicap races such as the Grand National many bookies will offer you more each way payout positions than if you bet in a shop. Therefore make use of these bookies on those days to ensure your eachway positions are as many as possible. At the last Grand National Bet365 and SkyBet paid out on the first 5 positions (usually 4 in the shop) so anyone who was wise would have used these online bookies to place their Grand National bets.
And who can forget that recent mega-offer of when Coral decided to throw away a million pounds by offering EVENS (1/1) on Sprinter Sacre winning at Cheltenham in 2013 when his true price was 1/7 in some shops!.
To read more about how you can make money using the free bet offer system please read this article: Betting with the bookmakers money to make money!
I have put some of my favourite betting offers down at the bottom of the page for you to use at any time. Just click the link, sign up, read the small print and claim your free bet or refund.
Punchestown Betting OffersThe Punchestown Festival 2013 is running and BetVictor are offering to refund any loss if your selection finishes 2nd to a Willie Mullins-trained winner up to £25 as a free bet! Full details are available here.
Betfair are the most popular exchange for people to bet against each other.
On big race days they have special markets such as 6 place payouts and I have even seen 10 or even 20 place payout markets on some big race days such as the Grand National!
You can also often get very good place only prices on their place markets if you don't want to back the horse to win.
This might be ideal for your 3rd or 4th horses with higher prices as you can get odds as good as win prices just for just a place sometimes.
If you join Betfair you will get a free £25 put back into your account whether you win or lose your bet. You just need to put £25 on a horse within 30 days of signing up for them to redeem this offer.
Here are some of my favourite betting offers which are available all the time.Just click on the links, follow the sign up procedure and claim your free bets. Just make sure to read the terms and conditions first.
Get a free Sky Bet of £10 here plus free bets of £5 each week as long as you bet £5 each week.

Get a free £50 bet at Coral with this link.

Or you can get a massive £200 in free betting offers from Bet365 with this link.
Just remember to read the terms and conditions on all these offers in case they have changed since the time of printing!
