Day 2 of the The Punchestown Festival 2013

Day 2 of the The Punchestown Festival 2013

By The UK Horse Racing Tipster

With another great win by Sprinter Sacre yesterday at the Punchestown Festival it looks like we have another Big Buck's or Kauto Star in the making!

Whilst Sizing Europe was having the whip put to him a few furlongs back Barry Geraghty only had to shake the reigns a few times to put his horse past his old rival and get another win under his belt. He may not have jumped as well as he did at Cheltenham but he did the job even if the odds were pathetic at 1/10 on!

I stopped at the local BetFred to watch the race and a mate turned up and won some money on the dogs. I told him that Sprinter Sacre was going to win the next race with Sizing Europe guaranteed to come second at 6/1, and if he wanted to put some money on to do a forecast or even put an each way bet on Sizing Europe if he couldn't get onto Betfair and put a place bet on at 1.57. However he was semi-pissed and refused to listen and decided to put his money on the 60/1 outsider Noble Prince! That's a gambler for you. He refused to listen and threw away all his winnings from his earlier win in the hope the two favourites would both be beaten or fall over.

Anyway today we have two more great horses running in the 17:30 Bet Online With TheTote.com Punchestown Gold Cup as Long Run and Sir Des Champs facing off again after their last match up in the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase in which Bobs Worth won and Sir Des Champs coming 2nd and Long Run 3rd. I have never thought Long Run was a good jumper and I expect Sir Des Champs to win today as Bobs Worth ran yesterday.

However you should check out some of the betting offers that are available whilst the Punchestown Festival is on. If you haven't seen it I created a new page yesterday under the "Horse Racing Tipster Online" menu called "Latest Bet Offers".

I hope to keep this page updated with the latest bet offers when they are related to the big festivals like Punchestown, Cheltenham or Royal Ascot etc as the bet offers change constantly.

However some bet offers are always available and you should make use of them especially on big race days or events like the Punchestown Festival. You can either use this new page or just look to the right and select one of the many bet offers from the main bookmakers I show. However as I warn on the bet offer page PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS!!

I have lost count of the number of people who don't read the terms and conditions and then scratch their head and complain when they don't get the offer they expected to. It has even happened to me once!

Therefore when signing up to these sites be warned of tricky little sentences that you can easily skip over that might void you getting your bet or refund offer.

Some common ones to watch out for are:
  • You are only refunded the cost of a bet up to a certain amount (e.g £25 or £50) if you bet that amount on one bet and lose it. If you win you don't get anything.
  • You are not allowed to withdraw your winnings from any bet offer but must keep them in the account to bet with. Only after betting X amount can you withdraw money.
  • You cannot bet on odds-on favourites or horses under a certain price.
  • You must bet the full £25 or £50 in one single bet to get the offer. Betting lots of small bets won't get you anything.
  • You must bet the full amount within a certain number of days to be able to claim the offer.

So PLEASE make sure you read the terms and conditions so you don't lose out on any betting offers. You will be gutted if you sign up and then lose the offer because you didn't read the small print!

However as long as you are careful and follow this advice there is no reason that you shouldn't try to make use of as many of these online bookmaker offers as possible.

In fact I have a whole system based around using online bookmakers free bet offers and my list of top horses (available to members only) which WILL make you money.

Good times to look for bet offers are when you want a free bet and have no money e.g SkyBet give you a free £10 bet to start off with - perfect for those of you who are skint!

On big racing occasions such as the big handicap races such as the Grand National many bookies will offer you more each way payout positions than if you bet in a shop. Therefore make use of these bookies on those days to ensure your eachway positions are as many as possible. At the last Grand National Bet365 and SkyBet paid out on the first 5 positions (usually 4 in the shop) so anyone who was wise would have used these online bookies to place their Grand National bets.

And who can forget that recent mega-offer of when Coral decided to throw away a million pounds by offering EVENS (1/1) on Sprinter Sacre winning at Cheltenham in 2013 when his true price was 1/7 in some shops!.

To read more about how you can make money using the free bet offer system please read this article: Betting with the bookmakers money to make money!

I have put some of my favourite betting offers down at the bottom of the page for you to use at any time. Just click the link, sign up, read the small print and claim your free bet or refund.

This might be ideal for your 3rd or 4th horses with higher prices as you can get odds as good as win prices just for just a place sometimes.

The free betting offers that online bookies give out to new members change constantly and I will try to keep this page up to date with the most recent offer for all the big festivals and races.

However if you check most pages on this site, you will see in the right hand side bar a long list of banner images for all the big bookies. Just by clicking the image you will be taken to the relevant website where you can sign up and claim your free bet or bet offer.

PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS!

If you are going to sign up to a new online bookmaker to take advantage of their offers you should always read their terms and conditions and small print.

I have lost count of the number of people who don't read the terms and conditions and then scratch their head and complain when they don't get the offer they expected to. It has even happened to me once!

The last Grand National saw Bet365 and SkyBet pay out on the first 5 positions and there are always a few bookies that offer this on the Grand National.

We also had the recent mega-offer of Coral offering EVENS (1/1) offer on Sprinter Sacre winning at Cheltenham in 2013 when his odds were more like 1/7.

This offer allowed you to bet up to £25 and it took Corals whole website down for the whole night as thousands of people all tried to claim their prize when Sprinter Sacre won the race. Coral lost over a million pounds on that offer alone and had to put up an apology on their website the day after!

To read more about the free bet offer system see this article: Betting with the bookmakers money to make money!

I have put some of my favourite betting offers down at the bottom of the page for you to use at any time. Just click the link, sign up, read the small print and claim your free bet or refund.

The Scottish Grand National

The Scottish Grand National

By The UK Horse Racing  Tipster

Today is the Scottish Grand National at Ayr at 15:50.

Like the English National it's a Class 1 Grade 3 race running over 4m 110f on currently soft ground.

However the Scottish Grand National is less of a lottery than the English Grand National with 26 runners rather than 40 that the English National had and my AutoBOT has ranked all the runners under 280 which means that there isn't much of a choice between them.

I usually stay away from handicaps and with the flat season starting and races involving some good horses like Noble Mission and Rosdhu Queen running today there is a lot of jumping and flat races to watch however with the Scottish National I will have a litttle dip of my toe in the water after my English pick, Cappa Bleu, came 2nd to the 66/1 winner Auroras Encore last time out!

I doubt the English winner Auroras Encore will have much chance today though after going up in the weights since winning at Aintree.

Being a handicap a big rise in weights won't help and today I am dutching by going for both Rival D'estruval and Nuts N Bolts (which by the way has the most NAPS on my site today from the 55 tipsters with 7)

Therefore if you are interested in betting on the Scottish National but are not sure whether or not you want to spend your money why not spend the bookies money instead?

I have lots of offers down the side of my sites (just look to the right) and if you are not on any of the online bookmakers yet you are missing out on a lot of free betting opportunities.

Therefore I have listed a few below.

Just click on the links, follow the sign up procedure and claim your free bets. Just make sure to read the terms and conditions first.

UK Horse Racing Tipster - My Site History

UK Horse Racing Tipster - My Site History

By The UK Horse Racing Tipster

My day job is a computer programmer and throughout the last 3 years I have been involved in developing some well known horse racing sites online such as www.fromthestables.com, www.horse-racing-tips.net and www.the-jag.com.

Some of these websites have been for ex-Bookies who have become tipsters or operations linked to well known horse racing trainers from the UK and Ireland who give reports on their own runners each day as well as letting their members become part owners of their own racehorses such as www.fromthestables.com.

I remember the first site I did in 2009. I was excited at being offered the opportunity to use the data from the site in an “automated betting system” and I dreamed of  a purely automated betting system that could make me money whilst I sipped a cold beer in the Bahamas.

I spent ages writing code all through the night and at weekends. Back-fitting statistics to “prove” systems with a high ROI and success rate – something many “tipsters” still do to sell their system to their members.

The concept of “value”was completely lost on me for at least a year as I tried out system after system in the local bookies handing over hundreds of pounds each week only to win some and lose most days.

All us gamblers have been there when we have just won a load of money on a race and instead of walking out the bookies or keeping the profit to spend on things we want we chose to place “just one more bet” that always seems to end up losing.

I have lost count of the times I have made a chunk of money from a high priced winner and then decided to have “one extra bet” instead of walking away when I should have done.

This is the primary reason why I wanted to keep my own hands away from the decision making and let a brain far cleverer than myself make the decisions.

I also wanted to make a system that would work whether I was awake or not, in hospital or in bed, on holiday or at work.

I wanted a system that would place the right bets without me having to tell it what to do and for good reasons.

For example one day I had written down in the morning a 5 horse accumulator that would have netted me roughly £200,000 if all the horses had won. Guess what – they did!

However my boss called me in for a “quick chat” before I could get down the bookies at lunch time and I missed the first two horses. Gutted wasn’t the word!

Another time I remember developing an accumulator based system that was basically a 7 horse accumulator with 12 horses (this equates to 792 combinations or bets at 2p) plus a 4 horse horse accumulator (495  combinations at 1p) which adds up to roughly £20.

I remember on the second or third day of trying this method I actually managed to get 8 winners out of my 12 picks.

Even though in my mind I thought I would be in the money I left the bookies pretty annoyed off with my total winnings of just under a £100 and scrubbed that idea – the bookie always wins as they say!

I may have just got an 8 horse accumulator right but the prices combined with the stakes just made the £80 profit seem like a waste.

Therefore I changed my goal from using other peoples knowledge to select my bets and place them manually to creating an automated betting system that made use of Betfair’s API to analyse races and runners and place the right bets for me without me being involved at all.

My ultimate holy grail was to make a 100% automated, self correcting, artificial intelligence based betting system that could predict the runners to place bets on and leave my meddling fingers out of it.

A foolish and unachievable task you may think and during the beginning it seemed like an impossible dream.

However it has been a lot of work but I am near the end of this journey despite what some people might believe.

Betfair may keep throwing the odd spanner in the work like suddenly deciding to rewrite their whole API in another format but the “BRAIN” which produces the bets and decides which bets my BOT places is finished and is written in a language that doesn’t change so even if my own AutoBOTS front end needs work.

The selection side of things is locked down tight! And I have created a website www.ukhorseracingtipster.com that allows people who don't have access to my AutoBOT to place bets from over 450 systems themselves and make money.

My ultimate aim is to create some sort of investment system in which people could put in a certain amount of money and combined with all the other members money would be used to place bigger and more profitable bets that then have the profits shared equally (by investment size obviously) on a regular basis.

However until that time comes I can only share a small selection of my AutoBOT’s bet selections every day for both visitors to the site (see the free bets or sign up to the newsletter) or the full selection available to myself across all viable systems to subscribing members who can just place the bets of the systems they are following in the manner they want. Whether it be down the Bookies or on an exchange like Betfair or BETDAQ with their own BOT.

Luckily for me over the years I have had the fortune to pick the brains of a number of bookies and professional gamblers to find out the details of their own systems.

Whether they realised it or not their brains were just one big computer system and they always went through a specific process when picking horses to back or lay. All I have done is transfer these systems into a computerised form that I could make use of it automatically with an automatic process to check how well the systems are doing and change the parameters if needed.

Each night this massive computer system churns over the stats including the day just gone and then it spends it’s time working out new systems as well as calculating potential profits from existing ones.

As you can see on my Join Now page I have over 450 systems and counting and over 200 with a Return on Profit that is above 0% both over a rolling 30 and 100 days.

Some people on Twitter have called Automatic Betting stupid, but I tend to let my betting bank speak for itself.

Just to prove it could be done and that my tips were worth following I tested the system out for free by putting up free horse racing tips based on my systems on this very blog ukhorseracingstar.blogspot.co.uk every day for a year ranging from 2011 to 2012 and you can still get some free bets from my BOT ( a mere selection ) on my automated blog over at ukhorseracingautobot.blogspot.com.

Also if you read this article you will see that anyone who had followed all my tips across all systems from June 2012 to Feb 2013 at £10 stakes would have made over £37,000!
  • Therefore this system does work!
  • It does return profit if you follow it correctly!
  • And it has made a lot of people very happy with the profits they have made!

I only did 20 of the bets as I didn’t have the bank to do them all but luckily I got 20 winning LAY bets and made £200!

Thanks!

Thanks for these LAY tips!

Made a nice little packet on Betfair today with the LAY betting.

Luckily I read your comment about the 2.45 at Gowran Park and decided to do a Forecast and got them the right way round!

Keep up the good work

Thanks for that place TRIPLE.

Put a £50 on it and got back just under £180. Almost did a WIN Triple but luckily I chose a PLACE triple on BetDaq.

The Grand National 2013 - Tips - Ratings - NAPS and more

The Grand National 2013 - Tips - Ratings - NAPS and more

By The UK Horse Racing Tipster

Yesterday was a great day for the favourites as we had winners from all the best horses My Tent Or Yours, Dynaste, Sprinter Sacre and At Fishers Cross all won putting money in the punters pocket. I certainly had some triples and doubles and a 4 horse place accumulator with all 4 (but with Cue Card instead of Sprinter Sacre).

However whilst Ladies Day was my favourite day of the races today is the most famous with the Grade 3 - Grand National being run over a gruelling 4 miles 3 furlongs and 110 yards.

My own system has ranked the runners and whilst there are no real standouts for the Grand National (e.g horses on my Super Horse List) Seabass is top and also the favourite, then Colbert Station comes 2nd who is ridden by champion jockey AP McCoy. Then in 3rd position is a horse I have some money on, Cappa Bleu, who is also the horse with the most NAPS on my site today.

For the national I follow a system that isn't too strict (even quality horses can be brought down by those fences just look at Little Josh yesterday and Synchronised last year) and is based on a few important factors: Stamina, Recent wins, Course Experience, Not a faller!

You can read my Grand National System here to pick your own runners.

Or you can follow my tips which are 2 stronger favourites and 2 longer shots with a good chance of making the distance.

To Win

Cappa Bleu at 13/1 (or above)
Imperial Commander at 16/1 (or above)
Each Way
Quel Esprit 50/1 (or above)
Roberto Goldback 33/1 (or above)

The prices are those I wanted (as I posted yesterday) and as I bet early on Betfair I managed to get them all. However you might not be able to get them now - especially on non exchange bookies. I have just looked at some bookies and you are now looking at:

Cappa Bleu at 12/1
Imperial Commander at 16/1
Quel Esprit at 40/1
Roberto Goldback at 22/1 (so really shortened)

You will have noticed that I picked two shorter priced horses inncluding the old champion Imperial Commander. He is top weight and perfectly capable of another  great win. Cappa Bleu is seen as a favourite by many, including the tipsters on this site and has NAPS all over the place.

We also have two longer priced horses including Robero Goldback a horse trained by Nicky Henderson and ridden by top jockey Barry Geraghy. These are a pair who can do no wrong at the moment and it seems to be Nicky’s year with the horses so far at Aintree!

The other longer priced horse, Quel Esprit, is trained by the top Irish trainer Willie Mullins and I managed to get a nice fat price by betting early. If you haven't bet yet then make the most of the offers available and view those at the bottom of this page.

Here is my AutoBOT's own breakdown of the top 3 runners for each race today.

Grand National Betting Offers

Remember if you want betting offers you can get 5 or even 6 payouts on Each Way bets at certain bookies and on Betfair there are 6 place payout markets so make the most of them.

Here are some offers you should look into.

Sky Bet is paying out on the first 5 placed and will give you a free £10 bet for signing up. Also if you don't like the idea of handing over your bank details to a bookie then with Sky you get your first £10 bet without having to supply any credit or debit card details!

They will also give you £5 of free bets a week if you bet £5 a week and for the Grand National if your runner doesn't run they will refund you your stake.
Bet 365 are also paying out on the first 5 places and refunding non runners. They also have a Channel 4 racing offer which if you back a winner at 4/1 or more on a televised UK or Irish race on Channel 4 you will get a free bet for the same stake on the next live race (up to £50).

Betfair are the most popular exchange for bettors to bet against each other. On big race days they have special markets such as 6 place payouts (I have even seen 10 place payout markets on some big race days!).

You can also often get very good place only prices on their place markets if you don't want to back the horse to win. This might be ideal for your 3rd or 4th horses with higher prices as you can get odds as good as win prices just for just a place sometimes.

Join Betfair and you will get a free £25 if you win or lose your bet. They will let you bet on who you like and let won't just refund your bet if you lose but actually give you £25 back whatever happens in the race. You can chose to withdraw it or keep it in your account for another day.
